Agama’s 4 week yoga course  combines both theory and practice of an integral style of Yoga. This popular course goes far beyond instruction in physical postures, offering rarely-taught Yogic techniques for the mind and body. The course works on a drop-in basis whereby you can begin at any point during the course and stay for as long as you like.

Most yoga schools and styles focus on the fitness aspect of yoga, seeking to provide a good workout or enhance flexibility. At Agama however, we choose to go much further where postures (asanas) are only the first step. We further expand upon the perception and direction of energy through asana and centered breathing (pranayama), while deepening our understanding of the complete Chakra system.

The 4 week yoga Intensive includes approx 150 hours of teaching as 2, two-hour Hatha Yoga classes per day and one evening lecture, six days per week. During the course, you will receive:

The course is designed for everyone regardless of age, physical ability, or previous experience with Yoga. The pace of the course allows those new to Yoga to easily follow the teachings, while students who already have a Yoga practice will find ample opportunities to deepen their understanding.

The practice and knowledge given in the course will allow you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, strengthen your physical body, improve your willpower and self-confidence, create healthy new habits, and find emotional balance and inner harmony. You will also become aware of energy, learn to recognize its different forms and understand how to direct it for a specific purpose.

The general timing of the program is as follows:

Course Fees

The course fee is Rs 400 for the frist day (even if you just attend one hatha class or a lecture). Each day after that is Rs 950 per day, which includes a 2 hour yoga class in the morning (presentation of the new asana for the day and hatha yoga session), 2 hour evening hatha yoga session, and 1-2 hours evening lecture.

If you pay for the full level within the first week of starting the course, you get a discount coming to a total of $300 USD.

Once you have paid for the course you can repeat it for free in our Rishikesh center or in Koh Phangan Thailand (if there is enough room in the yoga hall). The same applies to all the upper levels as well.
